Default vtec problems

well ok,

motor:92 d16z6
car: 92 cx
engine harness(motor harness): 92 d16z6

i am having trouble with my vtec engagment, all my wiring is hooked up and it is all correct. I have been told that all 92 civics were pre wired for vtec. so i have all that covered. Now i know that you cant really feel vtec engagment with a SOHC, but i do know you can hear it. My oil is full and the vtec solenoid is plugged in. I also have a V-AFC and it is getting a signal, saying the solenoid is turning on and off. I cant hear mine nor feel it. I am running extremely rich in higher RPM's. i have taken off the vtec solenoid and cleaned the screen, and i have gotten nothing. what else should i look for.

thanks in advance

drew

Did you swap the CX ecu for the P28 from an 92-95 EX or SI??

it may be working, on sohc motor you wont really hear vtec, or feel it , unless you have I/H/E, and even then you might not hear it.

as stated above, are you using the right ecu?

if your not throwing any codes, then more than likely its working. your not going to hear or feel it like you would on a b series motor.....sorry.
