why would you really need to get one? it is not a necessity to make your car run or anything. there are things you can do with a Vtec controller that you couldnt do without it. it is not a necessity. if you want one get one, if you want to spend the money elsewhere like you said, then do it.

what do you want to be answered? there are advantages to having a Vtec controller just like any other thing you could put on your car. it is your decision whether or not you want to get it. that what you really seem to want answered and only you can make that decision.

GET IT OR NOT, WHATEVER.

Maybe this will help you out a little...

I consider the combination of my VAFC and dyno tune to be the BEST money that I have spent on my car. On the dyno with the VTEC controller you can find the optimal VTEC switchover point. If you buy a VAFC you can also get the air fuel ratio on the money.

I say get a VAFC and dyno time. You can get a used VAFC for around 100-150 on here and dyno time varies but is definately worth it.

BTW...I have a D16Y8 with I/H/E, Stage 1 cam, cam gear and fuel pressure regulator. Very basic stuff...

No problem...and as far as where your at with your car...sounds like all you need is a little adjustability of the fuel pressure ie FPR and the VAFC and dyno tune and you'll be amazed at the difference...I promise.

Numbers after the tune...

Used VAFC for sale...they are up all the time...
