Default Me vs Intake manifold swap

I'm attempting to do a y8 manifold swap on a 97 y7. I don't know what year the intake manifold is since I got it at ebay but I know it doesn't have the air intake holes. Can you use the fuel rail from the y7? The intake manifold I got has three mounting point when the original has only2. I used the throttle body from the y7 so hopefully the sensors plug up right. I also need to figure out the hoses.

Hopefully this pic shows; These two hoses were on the bottom of the y7 where do they go for the y8?

This the intake manifold bolted on the head; notice the hole in the middle? Is that kosher or is that bad?

another pic of manifold bolted.
Any inputs? I've searched and read the archives and it has made me more confused. I know I need a throttle bracket for the y8; what else do I need and does anyone have recent pics of where the hoses go(pics in archives have been down)?

yeah the intake manifold is blue and the red is from the gasket spray. I don't mind what it looks like since I'll be getting a engine swap. So anyways anyone have any tips on the hoses?

So why swap a y8 intake mani onto the y7 if you are just going to be swapping it out?

That one large hose in the middle on the y7 intake mani might be the brake booster line, which I believe hooks up on the back/bottom of the y8 mani, not sure what the other hose you are talking about is though.

Dude i would really like to help you but i have no clue what im looking at.

first off in the first pic, what 2 hoses?

And the second pic can you get a better pic of the hole? Or better yet what was on the y7 manifold thats not on the y8 or why would it be covered?

also dont use the gaskets that come in a tub, they dont work to well. Get an actual gasket from honda, works alot better.

Ok an update. all the sensors are hooked up. I got two ports on the throttle body; should I just plug those up? I should take pics. And if I use the y7 fuel rail how do use the wires that go to the injectors? I'll post up pics soon.

What's going on with the pics?! I don't know sometimes its a bmw and a dog and sometimes it's normal.... Anyways the middle holes in between the intake ports lead to nowhere.

YES!!!!!!!

Anyways are those hoses coolant lines? if they are they can simply be looped on to the other. For some reason Honda though runing hot coolant through the intake was a good idea on some models.

The two holes on the intake manifold you speak of, are they like vacuum ports? or are they like places an IACV used to possible go to? either way pluggint them is probobly the way to go.
