Default getting to the timing marks

I did search, and didn't find anything like this.
I'm driving a 97 ex. do you guys have any suggestions for getting the crank pulley off so that I can see the timing marks on the timing sprocket? Or do you even really need to take the pulley off? I don't have a chain wrench like they reccommend in the...chiltons, i think...manual, and my impact wrench just makes sad little phutting noises and does even come close to breaking the nut loose. any help is appreciated.

you don't need to remove the crank pulley. the timing marks are on the crank pulley itself.

I thought the timing marks were on the smaller puller on the inside. alright, I'll try without taking out the pulley. thanks, appreciat the answer.

There is a timing mark on the timing belt sprocket behind the crank pulley to tell you where TDC is when you replace the timing belt.

THere are marks on the crank pulley though you can see with a timing light. There are 3 red ones, and a white one. White one is for TDC, and the 3 red ones are for stock timing, 2 degrees retarded and 2 degrees advanced.
