Default Will this protect our precious cars? Never heard of it.

I found this by accident on Google.

http://www.powerlock.com/

Says the only way to steal the car is to tow it. I guess it mounts to your starter. Know anyone that has it or any of you heard of it?

Check the left hand side of the main page. Has some Acura info...

They can still tow it.

Yes there is...but will this prevent driving the car away? That is the opinion I am looking for.

I can't find any info on how it hooks up, maybe so theives can't learn a way to defeat it. The only way I can see it hooking up is by plugging into the starter and then having the wire harness plugging into that. Then it could be unplugged but maybe there is another immobilizer in the harness? It says permantly mounted...to the starter? If it goes out then what?

I don't know... Looking for someone that has seen it/used it, along with more opinions.

Cant you just run a fuel cutoff and that will solve all problems until they find the switch.

If your looking for ways to kill the starter why don't you just install kill switches for the starter and fuel pump? They cost next to nothing and you can make them very hard to find.

Crap. Yeah I don't think it has an ignition cut off. Have to look into that one.

Any other comments...on this product.

nope. we have an electric fuel pump.. if you cut the fuel, no push start

we have fuel cut-off, starter cut-offs, and many, many original ideas we've come up with. they can only tow the car.

also, i have a friend that is hooking me up with a boot like the police use. NOW let's see them steal it! haha
