aight..i have a b16 motor and iam droppin inn sum 2000 type r cams....the old cams have been already takin off the car..now i juss need to take the gears and put em on the type r's..but its torqed down ..is there a way to take off the gears with out putting it back in the head?..or is there a special tool used to remove em?..

 

leave ur timinig belt on and have someone put a breaker bar on the crank pulley bolt. he can hold the crank pulley wil u do the cam gears

 

impact gun will do it. just shoot it out. had same problem but i didnt have an impact gun so i took it to the closest mechanic shop and they shot it out for free

 

you could always use the holes in the cams that are there to line up the tbelt and also remove the cam gears...slide a punch into the hole and then loosen the bolt with a ratchet maybe need a second person to hold the punch but its pretty simple.
