hello, im moving away from home for school in a few months, i do not see the need for a car when i have a motocycle =D, therefore im selling my POS civic. i do not value my car very high, to me its worth 2000 dollars tops w/ the h22 motor.

whats wrong with the car? here's a list:
1. ugly body: a big dent on the dirver door from a hit and run, a fender is half stripped of its paint, and there is no passenger side blinker, the hood is not aligned correctly with fenders. front bumper has lots of rash marks. paint not the best
2. nasty interior, so ugly i ripped it out for no interior look.
3. motor does not run good, it dies out at times for no reason.
4. motor vibrates interior alot causing a loud rumble only heard while in the car.
5. when it rains, it leaks into the rear part of the interior sits in the wheel well.

there are small minor things that are wrong but i didnt list, those are the major defects. i want to get rid of the car soon because its smog time.

my plan is to rip out the motor and parting it out, and strip the car of anything else that maybe of value. then sell the shell.
my friend tells me to sell the car as is and suffer the loss.

im a poor kid, so i need all the money i can. what are my options?

That civic isnt a pos, you should sell the shell, and sell any salvageable interior parts. Good luck to you.

 

parting it out will get you more than 2g i would suppose, but maybe not since you ripped the interior out....just sell the car as a whole

 

i dont think he'll find any buyers selling as a whole, but i think parting it out is gonna be some work. either way its gonna be hard.

 

i dont think ill make alot of money either because i still have to smog the ****. what do you guys think?
