Quick question what are the symtoms of a bad fuel filter cause. i have a 92 cx. i baught it a couple of months ago but i don't know when the filter was last changed. When my car has warmed up it idles really rough between idle and 1500 rpm. it shakes and fells like it is going to stall. everyone keeps telling me it is a fuel problem. could it be the filter or the pump? thanx

 

Usually it sputters if the filter is plugged, the pump will just quit working if its electrical.
