Fog Light switch. Lights AND switch don't come on
A while back, I took apart my car's interior. When I put it back together, everything worked fine, except there were two plugs that looked like they could plug into the light dimmer switch. Well, i plugged one in and found that it wasn't the right one. Then I plugged the other one in and the lights worked fine. But, when I went to try the OEM fogs, neither the switch nor the lights came on. None of the wiring past the switch was messed with and no wiring in the engine bay was fooled around with either. I checked all the fuses and none are bad. I have a new foglight switch that I checked out and it doesn't work, either (both work in the defogger position, though)
Could it be a relay thats bad? What kind of troubleshooting can I do to find out (the fogs aren't part of the service manual)?

do they have an inline fuse?
i'm not use to working with 12v but usually you can here relay's click when they switch on or off

It sounds as thought the kit is incomplete. The OEM ones that I sell come with all of that. The swith, the mount, the cut diagram (for the bumper), everything. Maybe you got a raw deal
no, the foglights have been installed on the car for a while. They worked up until I put my car back together and had the issue with the switch plug.
They have an inline fuse and I checked it also. All fuses are intact.

u sure you checked the fuse in the engine bay? my wiring has a fuse pretty close to the firewall that blows out sometimes.. matter of fact i think it's blown out now.. haha.
anyway.. everytime my fogs have stopped working it has been a fuse or a bulb.. but since your switch isnt working that means it's not the bulbs.. so..

theres a fuse in the engine bay, too? on the OEMs? its near the firewall, but what else is around it...I didn't see any there.

it's incased in a little black box.. you have to pop the top off of it to get to the fuse i think. it's on the part of the wiring that goes to the battery i believe.

oh, ok...i know where that is. You wouldn't have any clue which fuse it is, would you? I didn't even know there was a fuse for the fogs there! I guess I should just take them all out and see. lol. i'll try it out
