Brake pads
Well I'm looking for a new set of brake pads that create the minimal amount of brake dust. I don't know if it's possible for some brake pads to create less dust, but I just thought I would ask the all mighty h-t crew. TIA
Do you have any recommendations for ones that had the least amount of dust. And does anyone know of a good product that will make cleaning my wheels easier. I tried that Name-brand (don't remember name right now) spray on stuff and let it sit and rinse off crap. Yeah that doesn't work. So I went back to the soap and water and towel method. Looking for something easier. Any suggestions.

I've had AEM, Hawk and now carbotech and they have all made tons of dust. I have heard EBC pads make less dust butI don't have any 1st hand knowledge about them.

Porterfields seem to dust a bit less than most other high-performance brake pads. And they last a good long while, too. Pricey, but I love 'em.

ebc's make a good amount of dust i dont think there is anything you can do about it, I use P21s wheel cleaner- works awesome!! its some kind of german stuff it has no acid and doesn't damage the wheel coating. you can get it at classicgarage.com
I just got some Hawks. I haven't used them yet but I have AEM all the way around on my other car. There not too bad but also they're on black wheels. My buddy had EBC green stuff on his and it had hella brake dust. Most performance pads will drop some dust.
New to H-T. It sucks not havin a honda... but im hopin to get one soon. Big ups to K20 and Ronin150. Dont know too much about cars, but this looks like a great place to start. Im debatin between gettin a 4th gen civ, a teg, or a legend. Any thoughts? Also, ima be puttin honda related stickers on my
mercury tracer
until i get my honda/acura. I'll post pics soon enough. And john... go for the brake pads that work the best and dont crystalize easily under high heat... whichever ones those end up being. Dust seems to be an everpresent thing to deal with.

All pads make dust... you just have to live with it I guess.
If you are really worried about the dust caking on your wheels, my advice is to just clean the dust off more often than you use to. :shrugs:

I wouldn't...I got the $45 ceramic performance set from pep boys over a year ago. Red/Black box...they hardly dust at all. Over the winter i went without a car wash since about September untill 3 weeks ago. Wheels hardly had anything on them! The best part is the fact that they are so nice to my rotors
They bite better than stock as well.
I'm sure the autoX caliber pads will dust for sure, axxis/hawk/etc...but they are on another level.
