Default Issues with shift rod...help?

Ok guys I have a good one for you. I have a 92 Civic VX Hatch with a JDM B16A swapped into it. The shift rod that originally came with the swap is getting real sloppy. The bushings in the front joint of the shift rod are done. So I ordered from Honda a shift rod from a 95 Del-Sol VTEC to replace it. Unfortunately the new shift rod is about three inches to long and has different bends to it. I verified that Honda sent me the right part. So now I have to figure which one is the actual one I need? Has anyone ran into this before?

The new one I bought that doesnt fit is #13 in the pic

Thanks,

John

Depending on what year vehicle your linkage is from, you might need the rod from a '90-93 integra.
