Im gonna post this in the tech forum as well but here's somethin i noticed and i dont know if its bad or just normal....

I have a 93 Prelude Si (auto transmission). Every now and then (its happened only a couple of times, but my car is only like 3-4 weeks old), when i floor it the RPM's will redline and stop in 2nd gear, it wont shift to 3rd gear and so im stuck going about 45-50 mph until i let off quite a bit... doesnt seem like it should happen... any thoughts or suggestions?

 

to put it softly, damn. I have never heard of snything like that specifically, and I've worked at a show for a year now. sorry I can't be of any help.

 

hrmm, doesnt sound good.. I bet the owners knew about it and thats why they sold it.
Does it make any strange sounds? Could be in the tranny.. could be the ECU.
either way check your fluid to make sure its at the right level.
