Default identify this plug on h23a1 please

hey im helping a friend wire up a 96 h23 into a 95 cx hatchback( i know this isnt the hybrid forum) and we are using the cx wiring harness.

there is this plug on the back of the h23 block that im not sure what is for and there is no plug on the cx harness for it, can anyone identify what this plug is?

also, i have read that a resistor box is not needed for obd2 injectors, is this true? cause the h23 came out of my 96 prelude and there was a resistor box being used on it in the prelude.

sorry for the blurry pic

96 obd2 used a resistor box. 97 and up don't use the resistor boxes.

Try to take a clearer picture. What sensors are left unplugged on the engine? How far does that sensor extend?

how many pin connector is it , its hard to tell , it actually could be the connector that goes to the resistor pack, but you won't need it, its hard to tell , just tell me how many pins it is

ohhh i know,

its the plug for the crank fluctiation sensor that is down by the crank gear

what ecu are you going to run, and what distributor, that determines where you go from here

Tell Brain Roger said whats up. He should have asked me . Baddpic it looks like crank sensor pick up since it came out of 96 prelude H23. Also depending on which injectors you use will say if you need resistor box or not.

are you runing the 1996 p14?

if so you will need to run the wires from that sensor to the appropriate pins on the h23 computer.

if this car is obd2 then going with the h23 ecu that is from 96 is his only option unless he want to convert a obd1 dizzy to an obd2 plug, and also buy a obd2 to obd1 convertion harness,

if your car is originally obd2 then i would stick with what your already doing, you have already started using you civic harness
