i cannot get my rear defroster light to come on, the part with the little picture, i have tried different bulbs in different spots and everything. does anyone know for sure if there is a fuse responsible for this and what number spot it goes in, thanks alot any other suggestions? i know this is a stupid question...

yup it does, i checked the fuse by the engine...i can get the light above the image to come on when turning it on too, i just cant get the picture to light upp

well if you are extremely concerned about the light not coming on, I have one for sale if you are interest (96-98 civic, yes it works, and so does the light). I would say as long as the switch works, who cares about the light. Up to you though. PM me if interested.

 

the only reason im at all concerned is it used to work then i bought an amber one to see how it would look(got it for $15) and now i cant get either to work so i thought it was a fuse...any others have any ideasss?

 

if it's an eg the fuse would be #13 7.5a
I think there is a bulb inside the switch

 

checked that one and it still didnt work...its a 92 dx if that makes a difference...thanks for the help tho anyway....

I agree, I think the bulb is inside of the switch. Not sure if you can change it, just take it out and look at the switch, you might be able to open it up.
