My 5-spd '92 Civic DX HB does not have a tach. I found this odd and the previouse owner (1st owner) said when he bought the car it did not come with one. I am new to this import stuff and just wanted to know if this was true and why? Also I want a tach. because it makes knowing when to shift that much easier. So my other question would be if I can go to a junkyard and pull one out of say a 5-spd Si and hook it up in my car. Would I have to re-wire or get a different ECU or harness? Help! I am in the dark on this one. If anybody could help it would be of great use.

 

just get a JDM eg cluster... im not sure but it doesnt take much wiring...
