Default abs light acts diiferent in cold weather...

ok here's the senario, i have a 96 lude and for the past year or so i have been driving my car normally with the abs light on in my car. when it first came on, i looked up the trouble code and it said the right front speed sensor was at fault. so i replaced it with one i bought off of someone on here. it still didn't work. anyway, point of the story, i live in miami it gets cold rarely ever, but when it does get cold, instead of the abs light being on immediatly after i turn on my car, it turns on after driving for a minute or so. this is the way it was when the problem with the abs first came up. why would it trip the sensor differently when it is cold out?
