btw--If i don't sell my car, I'm definetely going for a retrofit in the spring

heres pics of my current catz 4300k kit

I can say the kit is day and night over stock halogens but check out the second pic and you'll notice how alot of the light is pushed right in front of the car. In retrofitted HId's the beam pattern is way more spread out

I have a plug and play 8000K kit from Philips on hold... I don't know about it though. Its suppose to mimick the M series bmw and new maxima hid's.. But would the stock projectors work good? Or would I need to fit something else..

the color you see from those cars are coming from the "optics" so to speak from the projector combined with the cutoff shield. In all honesty, you are better off with a 4100-4300k kit. It won't give you the color you want but it will put out more "lumens" than the 8000k kit. But if you simply just want the color....then go for the 8k kit

i doubt the 8000k kit would be able to mimick the m series or even the maxima. a friend of mine has an 8000k kit and it just looks like a big blue light not like how the maxima is. how much are you getting the 8000k kit for? if anything you should try to retrofit.

Yeah, I just have something for the new Max, 350z type HID. My buddys parents have both of those vehicles and I go wild everytime we cruise in one of them. I understand with the USDM lights and stuff, it might not even be close, but the reason I want them is for visibility over fashion.. thanks guys

$475 canadian new.. plug and play for my DC.. for the 8000k Philips..

a friend had a 6000k (i think) catz setup on his itr, it was really bright, i've always used mcculloch.. i like their kits a lot. 4300k is -very- white. from what i've learned, the reason the higher "k" lights are not as bright is the wattage.. its always going to be the same, 35.. so the 4300 uses the wattage 'better' than an 8000k, but the 8000 would be brighter if you were giving them more watts. streetrays is selling them in the sponsor marketplace here, search for "mcculloch"
