Please help with bulbs.
Hi, how do I change headlight bulbs on my 2001 Accord Ex 4cyl.? I popped the hood and check the housing area there are 3 screws that looks like it keeps the bulb tight. I tried just turning the bulb counter-clockwise to loosen it but it turns so slightly that it has no effect. It's extremely tight and I thought i would have to loosen the screws..but there's absolutely no space for a screwdriver down there. Can anyone please help? Thanks
If you cant twist the bulb and it's mount normally just loosen 1 (or 2 if needed) screws holding the assembly together and it should be able to twist out fine. Then just tighten them again
wow don't listen to that guy. look. there are sockets that you have to twist to get the headlight bulb out. black, plastic around the bulb, twist to the direction that it says to...gg

Youre an idiot. Did you even read it? He already TRIED doing the normal twisting of the socket and the screws have it held in tight. THATS WHY HE HAS TO LOOSEN THE SCREWS
god. At least I read these posts before I reply to them. I've had to unscrew the socket a few times, some cars have them in so tight that the socket DOESNT twist, which is his problem.
To address the space issue:
They make screwdrivers shaped like S's... if you get one, it should be very easy to get a screwdriver in there because it will only be about an inch long or so and you can use the other end for leverage
Make sure not to totally take the screw out though, it'll twist out on its own if thes crews are loose. And dont tighten it too much after, or youll crack the plastic socket!
