Default obd0 to obd1 conversion car won't start help please

ok, I was throwing code 21 and 22 which are vtec related which shouldn't keep the car from starting. I hooked up the vtec solenoid so code 21 went away, then i hooked up the pressure switch the code didn't go away so i am guessing the pressure sensor switch is busted. I get spark, i checked my wiring for the dizzy twice and i am certain the wires are properly connected. I replaced the ignitor and coil in the obd1 dizzy, from what i gathered the ignitors in the obd0 and obd1 dizzys were the same so i put my obd0 ignitor in the obd1 dizzy. I've spent two days on this thus far and i am running out of time, any advice, or some direction to go towards would be awesome thanks in advance.

Are you getting fuel? if car cranks but doesnt stay on could be your timing also. Check the wiring on the dizzy again, unless you used an obd1 harness.

yes, i can smell the fuel, i know its not the cam/crank timing, could be ignition timing but i see no reason why this would be the case at least to get it started. I found some interesting information. My directions told me to match up all the colors on the obd1 dizzy wiring to the obd0 harness. All except the two white ones. One is thicker (though i can't tell) and the thicker one goes with the YLW/GRN obd1 wire the other is WHT on WHT. Then I found this:

Here's the colors
(OBD-0 harness plug)------(OBD-1 Dizzy plug)
Thick White----------------------Yellow/Green
Thin White-----------------------Blue/Yellow
Orange--------------------------Blue/Green
White/Blue-----------------------White/Blue
Orange/Blue---------------------Orange/Blue (pink/blue?)
Blue/Yellow-----------------------White
Blue/Green-----------------------Orange (or pink, whatever)

I did simply match up the colors except the two white ones. As you can tell this is somewhat different, is the above correct? if the above is correct then I know what my problem is, let me know thanks. Ohh btw my civic is an 89, from what im told the 88-89 harnesses are colored differently from the 90-91 harnesses

something else i've found interesting is perhaps i should check out the ecu pinout and connect them not by color but by sensor. find out which wire is adapted to which obd1 dizzy sensor and connect accoordingly, in which case i would need an obd1 and obd0 ecu pinout, where can i find one?

with the list you gave me Mr_CRX, it seems as though the dizzy wires would all match up in terms of color, is this correct?

welp question i've got now is the following: i replaced the ignitor and coil in my dizzy are there other parts within the dizzy that would make it so i couldn't start my car? such as one of the sensors and if so would i throw a code?

Try another distributor or ecu.
