Were's Honda
Honda is at their facilities designing reliable/street performance motors like the K20A2 and the K24A2 so we can use them on the street and use them to build for our race cars.
Scion is here but the racers have to build up their own R&D program to make power out of those things.

I think there is some truth to both statements

they have factory mx teams, indy car, jet ski, cross country, hell they probably got factory backed lawn mower teams, but no drag race teams, the age group that goes to these events are young and still buying cars, honda should relize this. They can buy honda's or they can buy scion's, cobalts, etc......Parts, heads, blocks cranks, anything would be nice!! Regaurdless I'm staying with HONDA

It still doesn't make it right.

Honda as in the company does not have any interested in drag racing as of yet. They invest all their efforts into circuit racing. And we all know thats were all the real fame comes from. Leagues like formula 1, indy, JGTC etc. And if you look at it this way, Toyota, GM, NIssan, BMW,Ford are usually always behinda Honda on this scene. Only one that really rivals them is Ferrari. funny thing is Honda owners started had alot to do with the popularity of import drag racing.
didn't they sponsor ADAM S.??? or did he do it himself...
the team that should deserve all the honda credit if they come out and represent would have to be no other then AEM.. they've sported honda forever!!! At least Honda should sponsor them!!!
as of now honda participation gets a
from me!!! hehehahaha!!!

Hint: Honda is getting more and more serious in F1. They just purchased a 45% share of BAR in 2004. Good funds won't be thrown to drag racing anytime soon. Just bits and pieces. They actually want to win in F1 unlike Toyota. So they are spending their time with it. Embarassment hurts.
I wonder if GM and Toyota know that privateer teams running Hondas keep up with the GM and Toyota factory teams. Wonder what would happen if Honda did run their own factory team.

i don't know if i see it right but i think honda doesn't title sponcer because know one runs they newer models or maybe they just don't give you(the racer) any money to build a newer model honda? i dont' know
hm.. lets see.. Winning drag racing events in which is only really really popular in the US (don't get me wrong, i like drag racing) or hmm....winning Formula 1 which is an event that takes places in numerous countried in the world. This is how the thinktank of Honda sees it.
drag racing by far is my favorite but definitely does not bring the money to the table like circuit racing such as Indy cart or jgtc, but im sure sooner or later Honda will have a factory backed team
System7 is right. Honda is a dominant force in F1 racing and that is where a majority of their interest lays. They would much rather take a title home in a world renowned racing circuit then a United States only drag racing series.
Then on top of that Honda still has phenomenal sales. A lot of other companies are backing cars so that they can push their product to a younger generation of first time buyers in hopes of keeping that customer in the long run. They want to show the potential that their product has. Unfortunately for them they have done so by spending fairly large amounts of money on sponsorships. Where as Honda has tons of racers building competitive race cars using their chassis and motors and spending their own money. As of right now they’ve got no reason from a business standpoint to step in and lay down big time money to racers outside of the people that they are already contributing to.
