someone interested in my car wanted to know which cams can go in the d series. i told him, any d series cam, such as the integra's d16a1. but what other cams can you use?

 

Which d series?...this makes alot of difference

d16a1 is dohc so those cams aren't going to work in a sohc d series

Ok so its a sohc zc which means any sohc non-vtec cam will work in it.

 

does that include b series?

 

All b series motors are dohc which means one cam operates the intake valves and the other the exhaust valves. In a sohc onecam operates both intake and exhaust valves. So in short no b series cams will not work in a sohc motor.

 

in my haste i totally neglected to remember b series is dohc. i feel small now and shall not posts here anymore.

 

Im about to put a JDM D15B cam in my D16Z6...its way more aggressive is what Im told

 

not all d-series sohc engines are the same. Most are not interchangeable. Dont go switching them around until you learn which can go to which motor.

it's compairable to a zex cam I'm told..

 

when is the exospeed site going to be finished updating? will you have more details of parts like cams?

Its almost up. We have a 2 Part website that we are completing.
