I usually dont make gay posts like these, However..I just bought and returned an Olympus E300 8.0 mp DSLR, cause I felt that I bought something WAY over my head. Even coming from a Sony717 and being the owner for over a year ..The Olympus was like learning french to ME.

I bought the DSLR, cause I recently sold my Sony717 to my bro.

The wife and I decided that since we just had our new born daughter, we definately benefit off a digital camera. Thats why I thought Id hop on the wagon of DSLR's. But wow, after messing with it for over a week...I just cant manage to adapt to it. So I decided to go with something more user friendly....

Anyhow..I was highly thinking of purchasing the Canon G6 and have read some good reviews on it.
However, other then using it to take pics of the up-growing of my daughter..I would love to continue snapping some lovely pics of my cars and friends cars as well.

Any of you Canon G6 owners out there? Can you give me some feedback and definately some sample pics you've taken with the camera.?

i bought a G6 about a month ago. the G6 is in my opinion one of the best cameras out at the moment. it's has a nice feel to it, takes nice shots, easy to learn, and you can buy different lenses for it aswell. here's some pics i took a few days ago.







granted its the eye behind the lens that takes the picture, but i think this camera can hang with the DSLR's in picture quality. (i didn't take these pics.)









get the G6 you won't be disappointed.

sample pics nothing special i just got home from work and this was left over from my 32mb card haha that comes with the g6 when you purchase it ill see what i have on my 512mb when im done eating

IMO, it takes great pics for what it is and like what people say, it's the person behind the camera and how they "clean up" the picture on Photoshop that really makes the difference. If you know what you're doing, you can make pics from a G3/G5/G6 and Photoshop look like pics taken by an DSLR.

Although I maybe use mine once ever couple of weeks for misc webpage stuff so mine is going to waste

But yah, that picture definately screams DSLR quality..

 

 

The G6 is badass but if you want to save some money you can get the same quality with a G5 if you can still find one.

 

these pictures look pretty damn good, startin to make me want to save the money and get one.

My first time using the camera w/out a tripod which was at my highschool basketball game. pics are from photobucket kinda bad quality compare to the real thing on my comp but wutever here they are
