thinkin of building a motor

hey i have been thinking about starting a turbo project and i am wondering what motor i should use as a base. i am also wondering what would i need to make a complete turbo setup

But for price, you cant beat a turbo'd D series. Best bang for buck.

Maybe a d16z6/a6/y8?
