Default rev problam?

the other day i was driving and all off a sudden my check engine light came on. so i stopped and when i went to give it a little gas and let off the clutch it sounded as if my engine were bogging down at around 1600 rpm. but as soon as i give it a little more gas it goes a away. this seemed a little serious but the problam is off and on. i was just wondering if it could be a major problam or just a quick fix thanks

Check engine light means the ecu is outputting an error code. Read the code and come back and tell us what it is and we should be able to help you more effectively. To read an ecu error code:

Turn the ignition to the on position
Pull up the carpet in the passenger footwell and there should be a metal plate with a window in it. Count the number of blinks the LED makes. It will keep repeating the code. Also if it is more than one it will pause in between each code and then repeat the sequence.

long blink = 10
short blink=1

add the blinks and that is the error code.
