Default Belt Squealing

Recently every time it snows or rains my belt squeals alot especially starting out in first and going to second, it happens alot when i downshift too.. and just recently i put my stereo system in and when i turn it up the belt starts to squeal again, its becoming really annoying and embarassing.. if anyone knows how i can stop this or what could be causing this please let me know. thanks

Check how tight that belt is, push in the middle of it and see how far you can press it in, you shouldn't be able to wiggle it any more thatn .25-.50 inches. If you can, tighten them up.

Changing the belt is fairly easy anyways, but first try and make sure it's nice and tight.

I bet it starts going crazy when you put the rear defroster + A/C + headlights.

More tension on the alternator yields this.
