Default Are These OEM 96-00 Power Lock Acuators?

hey guys,

I would just like to ask a couple of questions; any information would be helpful. I just had my alarm installed the other day and the installer told me that i didn't have any power lock acuators. I found someone on this site that is willing to sell me theirs and want to know if it looks complete and has everything i need. He said it's oem and i would just like to make sure of it, but he doesn't know if they're for the 96-98 or 99-00 civics. I will be installing them into my 96 hatch with 99-00 SI doors and was wondering if it matter or not if they were 96-98 or 99-00. He says one side has 4 wire harness and the other has a 2 wire harness.

TIA

It looks about right. And you have the rods for the locks, and the wire for the switch, so you should be good to go.

http://www.slhondaparts.com/br...=true

72115-S00-A01 ACTUATOR ASSY., R. FR. DOOR LOCK $33.75

Looks to be the part you have, so I'm not sure what else you'd need. There isn't a listing for a door lock module, and I don't remember there being anything else when I was into my door panels. I can't find a pic showing the lock assy in my car while I was working on it.

I thought that the actuator (in your pic) was then controled by the switch that plugs into it (which you said you have); but I've never done the conversion, my car came with them.

Bump for someone who has done the conversion and might know.

Indeed they are, and when you say module, what exactly are you refering to? Are you refering to the controller for the actuators?

how is it you have a 99/00 si and not alreay have poser locks? anyweays youre going to need correct door harnesses for power locks and if you dont have those then you are also going to need a floor harness from one with power locks. those are the righ tactuators though. look up my conversion instructions here. http://repo.jackmoves.com/album206

Because there was a previous post:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2lua &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">you need the door lock module and lock/unlock switch.</TD></TR></TABLE>

But none of us know what he's talking about. I've been saying that I think he has what he needs, and it should plug right into the harness.

at least they're OEM, and i don't know what i'm referring to because someone told me i need one (module) so i'm trying to find out.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by monicle &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">how is it you have a 99/00 si and not alreay have poser locks? anyweays youre going to need correct door harnesses for power locks and if you dont have those then you are also going to need a floor harness from one with power locks. those are the righ tactuators though. look up my conversion instructions here. http://repo.jackmoves.com/album206</TD></TR></TABLE>

I don't have a 99-00 SI i have a 96 dx hatch with SI doors which i bought like that so i dont know why he took out the power locks . so not only do i need a module i also need the harness(s) and a floor harness? and you say my actuators are the right actuators.....so does that mean i need to buy a left one too? i thought those were for both sides.

those are my actuators, buy them!
one is passenger side and the other is the drivers side one. I think the drivers side one has the 4wire harness and the passenger has the 2wire harness plug. I was to lazy to do my conversion.
