theres a good chance that GM will be contending in all motor class. not quite sure if it will happen this yr or not. i know they are workin on development of heads soon. what do u guys think?

 

If it is anything like the saturn they attempted to compete with a few years back then the more the marrier...They can't hide beyind 25k turbo's to make power in this class so we will see if their motor design is worth a damn.

 

i must have missed that car, i dont recall ever seein it or hearin of it. new info to me.

 

it ran last year.....think mid 11's was the best he could do, it was with a 3-speed auto though

I think it would be an valued addition to the AM class. Mazda has joined in, Ford may be coming in and GM would be great for the exposure of that class

[gum_flap] I will post pics of the engine bay when it is more complete. You are going to LOVE it. Thanks, it has come a long way, but needs to get a little further along.... like on the track [/gum_flap]

definitely coming along nicely. vince that wasn't the mock up motor in there was it? man, i can't wait to see it ripp **** up on the track

It was part of the Saturn Motorsports program. I honestly never saw a clean pass out of it though. Always had something break or not work properly...

I think the driver was Nick Novak ??

I remember that car...... ( see pic )


It made very decent power, but the trans was holding it back. Plus, the chassis, IMO, sucked It was a hack job from 3 or 4 different people. That motor, in a car with a good trans and good chassis would be up there with the best of em.

Yeah, they had a 2 speed in the car...

I did hear that they had anouther trans for the car, but Saturn would not let them run it.

The trans they wanted to put in the car was a 6 speed audi I think. The car made real good power but like was said before had lots of chassis problems.

Nick worked real hard on the car by himself alot. He deserved at least one good pass in the car.

If GM is getting back in to all motor, Nicks got my vote to pilot

Mine too. Nick is a great guy, with a lot of heart for the sport

 

I'm pretty sure that 6-speed trans was used in an all-motor car during "Ford" era...

 

me three nick is one of the coolest people i have had the priviledge to meet while racing and we (my team) miss him alot hope he come back.
