Hey guys thanks for the compliments...except for you 1 2 N V actually I was looking for anyone of the big three and I did want to have a Powerstroke but I just didnt find one that I wanted that bad. The diesels are out there but hard to come by in a low mileage nice color combo that wasnt a work truck. The sticker on this truck was 21,900 I got it for around 20k so about where I needed to be with it. Should last me for quite some time. It should also pull my trailer with ease im thinkin.

Very nice, you will probably need to change the tires to an 8 ply. I had the same tires and the truck was unstable pulling a trailer. Switched the tires and perfect after that.

u know im just playing.

anyways, it should be a good truck for ya. we (me and my gf) are in the market for a new truck too in december when she graduates. the new 1/2 tons are like frickin cars and we were really leaning towards either nissan, ford or toyota but if i get my wishes (and i will) i will end up with a 24 or 28ft trailer and that means i better just buy a damn powerstroke.

Yeah the new titans are great looking trucks and the things can probably pull just about anything you throw at it but In my opinion you cant go wrong with the Powerstroke, I had a new 03 powerstroke and I absolutely loved it. The truck will definately be up for some new tires come spring time and I wil be going with an 8 ply for sure. The crew cab with the four doors was not available in the old body style and I just cant sell myself on the new ones yet so this was about the only way to roll. Wish us luck in 05!

the crew cab 4dr was an option on teh older gen. You just have to look harder. As far as I've seen, the crew only came with duallies in teh back though.

Nice truck BTW

honest to god I have never seen a 94-2001 ram with 4 opening regular doors, this truck has the suicide rear doors and that is the only way I have ever seen them. Id be interested to see if anyone has pics of a 94-01 with a crew cab and 4 regular opening doors. Weird, there must not be very many of them out there if it was an option???

Nice truck but I hope you like changing trannies Maybe it was a fluke but I had 3 different family members over the last 10 years have ram trannies got belly up Usually within weeks of the warranty going out.

Just don't tow With them in O/D. It sucks to go that slow but thats about the only way, not to blow up the trannies. Or you could look at the BD pressure lock for the tranny, keeps up the line pressure inside. If you decide to put a box on it, definately do something with the trans. Mine lasted about a month after I put a BD box in it.

I have heard all of the info on the tranny and I guess its just a risk im up for right now. I had a new Powerstroke that went through 2 trannies as well, so I guess any truck that goes through hard abuse like most diesels do you are bound to run into problems, I guess if the tranny goes out it goes out...my one ram had an 8" lift with 38" tires and it got the **** beat out of it and horrible maintenance on my part and the truck never flinched once...I hate to see it today im guessin though wish us luck guys!

yeah, it seems almost all those trucks have some sort of tranny problem.

my neighbor has a powerstroke and a dodge... both those **** trannys about once every 25k miles. they usually stay loaded and tow ~10000lbs worth of tractor quite often. my stepdad has a new chevy with the alison tranny. has had any mechanical problems, but it has had to have the tranny computer reflashed and/or replaced a couple of times. he keeps his truck loaded to the hilt and regularaly tows a 12000lb trencher with it.

diesel is deffinatly the way to go for towing stuff tho

Our company has Cummins in our Dodges with the allison tranny. We drive our trucks about 15-20K a year all over the country towing 1-3 cars and have NEVER had any kind of serious problems. for big dodge trucks

the way i see it, you called it a tow rig, so technically it could be about drag racing

Thats why I would only get one with a manual tranny. The slushboxes have a real hard time with the torque of a diesel.
