i've conducted a search and no luck on finding an answer. my girlfriend has a 03 civic and wants me to put in silverstars in her car. her car uses 9003 bulbs. when i took a look at where her bulbs are connected, i was kind of confused. the plug came off no problem, but i can't get the stock bulb out of the housing. which direction am i supposed to turn it? or am i supposed to turn it at all?

 

Not sure about the 03's but the 00 Civics had a little thin wire retaining clip that had to be unhooked in order to remove the bulb from the headlight housing. I'd bet that your headlight assembly is similar.

 

where would this retaining clip be located? top?

 

It normally runs right across the back of the bulb and hinges on the light housing like a gate. Pretty hard to miss it...if you're still having troubles, stop by or call the dealership to see how it's done.

yah he is right , there is a little wiire retaining clip that straps in the H3/9003 bulb, they all work the same...you just push it in and it will unhook and free the bulb........
