The SC44 would pull all the way to redline and would make 350whp no sweat if that is your difinite goal, But if you plan on making more then the SC61 would be a better choice. I would pick the SC61 since you never know you might want to push it higher and the spool is pretty good on other b16 i;ve seen.

even a smaller turbo, the sc34 is rated for 550 hp, depends if u want more power early or later

I dont know what PSI they test them at but yes they're both rated @ 500+. That's crank HP though, not wheel HP.

SC50 if that's your max goal. You'll have a broader powerband.

Those turbos are too big for only 350whp. Go with the SC50.

it also depend of how much PSI your tuner want to tune on pump gas. Usually my tuner doesnt want to go more than 15 psi on 94 octane gas.

A SC50 .63ar would be able to reach 350whp but you will need at least 20 psi.

I did 335whp on my D16Z6 with 112 octane at 20 psi.

Yellowturbo is right, it will take about 20psi to reach 350whp, but with 9:1 C/R I wouldn't see that being a problem on 93 octane.

thanks guys for the info.
I'll like a turbo that produce that power and still have some power left in it. Do you guys think the sc44 will still be to much, even if i have plans on sleeving the block in the future . Im just trying to prevent buying a turbo twice. Also i would like 350whp any where from 15psi to 18psi,

thanks again !

SC50 should get you 350whp by 20psi. It really doesn't matter what psi you make the power at.

It's capable of right around 400whp. The most I have ever seen out of one was just over 400whp at 30psi.

you need to get out more, there are numerous DSM putting down well over 400whp and there are 2 in my area that do alot more than 400whp under 25 psi on there b-series. Mind you, these were all Garrett's 50 trims, not Precisions...buying into the hype? I know I did..

I guess I do need to get out more. I have heard of DSM's putting down big numbers on the 50 trim, but never actually seen it. I was referring to ARFab's D16 in my example.

I think my question was too vague so I'm going to ask again and try and be more specific.

I know any of this turbos (SC50, SC34, SC44, SC61) can get me to my goals of 350whp. I want to get to this 350whp mark boosting no more than 18psi. Which one of this turbos would be the most appropiate for my goals???

Goals are: 350whp under 18psi (9k rpm redline) while getting the quickest spool possible.

I had a SC50 previously, but it only made 280whp @ 18psi 9000rpms, so that's why I decided to go with something a little bigger, and then got stuck with this dilemma of which turbo will actually suit my needs without being overkill.

Thanks to everyone who's helped so far.

Dude, what kind of mani, DP, and engine management were you running? Those numbers are WEAK as hell. You should be in the 400s easy at 18psi with a decent setup.

You don't have this as one of your choices, but

With a full-race t3t/67 stg. 3 wheel .63 A/R I hit 404 hp on 17 psi on 91 octane on my b16a2 (84mm) about 2 weeks ago. The 435 was on 20-21 psi (c16). I did manage to hit 445hp & 309 torque on 22.7 psi (c16). It's just not reflected on this chart.
