Default Narrowband on Techedge

I plan to use the RJ45 output for logging and Wideband display on my Palm unit. I would ALSO like to use the narrowband signal coming out of Pin 5 to send to my factory ecu.

My plan is just to get a male RJ45 and 2 female RJ45 jacks to "T" off the signals so I can drive both simultaneously. That way I can also remove my Palm and drive the car with an O2 signal going to the ECU. Is there a better/cleaner way of doing what Im thinking of doing that anyone else has already experimented with?

TIA

Nick

Im assuming that youre using uberdata? Why dont you just use the nokia cable and datalog on uberdata. It will make tuning easier. Then you just connect pin 5 to the ecu.

no this is for my factory ecu on an NA system. i think i will just reterminate the RJ45 connector with a loose wire to pin 5.

Techedge sells a splitter that has both linear 5v and narrowband screw connectors on it. Its $12. Of course, you can still always make one yourself fairly easily.

just crimp your own custom cable. pop the stock narrowband pin out of that factory honda harness, get a honda ecu pin, put it on a wire , get the other ness wires to get the WB lin voltage to your palm , and then re crimp, thats what i did, works for me

i just used a CAT-5 cable and cut off one of the plugs. then you have plenty of wire to work with and don't have to mess with crimping if you're not famliar with it/don't have the tool. although that splitter does look nice for $12
