Good to see Gary finally got something he deserved. Hes worked hard out f his own pocket and finally someone noticed it. I know its not a honda but itll be fast and thats what matters. Congrats Gary go kick some *** this year.

edit: how much is the cobalt phase 5 goin for and what do you have to buy to get it track ready from your own pocket

Here is a list of the parts, you can call and use those part numbers to check costs. The rest you would have to call the manufacturers or dealers on. How you prepped the suspension is up to you, but you would not have to do it exactly the same and you could cut some costs there. The whole point of the program is to make it affordable for the average person to be able to run with everyone else who has spent big bucks on a different platform.

GM Performance Parts CNC ported cylinder head (#88958640)
GM Performance Parts adjustable cam gear set (#88958613)
GM Performance Parts camshaft set (#88958648)
GM Performance Parts neutral balance shaft set (#88958615)
Wiseco piston, pin, and ring Set
Eagle connecting rods
GM Racing modified Hydra-Matic 4T65-E 4-speed automatic transmission
Cobalt SS Supercharged rear suspension assembly including disc brakes, upgraded swaybar, and five-lug hubs
Garrett GT35R ball bearing turbocharger with water-to-air intercooler
AEM fuel management system with coil-on plug ignition
Fully adjustable front struts and Walker Evans Racing rear shock absorbers
Eibach front coil-over springs
Airlift rear suspension airbags for ride height adjustment
Recaro racing seats with Schroth six-point safety belts

so you have to buy a base model cobalt and pay the 14k for it then pay the additional money to build it? why not just offer an out of the box set up for less? you are pretty much gettin a cobalt shell with a cage from what I can tell. am I right?

I'm not clear on exactly what you are saying/asking, but i'm not aware of any manufacturer that would sell a turn-key race car to anyone due to liability reasons if nothing else

Subaru-well not really its actually prodrive that builds them and sells them. **edit**--i think thats how it goes look it up i'm not sure.
