Is there a alternator Ground wire?

on my harness there is a plug for the alternator and there is also a plug that sort of looks like a ground wire. does that go on this... (circled in red) It is from a obd2 ek

thats the hook up for the (+) wire to the battery

^yes, but he'll also have to ground it.

I think the alternator is grounded to the block. . .

It is. Thats the main reason that bottom bolt is so ginormous.

good reason to make sure the ground wire on your VC is on in the right place.

mine goes to my fuse box, then to battery. i have obd1, but should be same.

alright guys sorry for the stupid post, it is a ground and it goes on the little bolt that i circled in the pic. thanks

that is 12v(+), not ground.
