squealing noise when starting car!
it just started this chicago winter, happens at subzero temperatures. sound comes from the motor, well, it sounds like belts are sqealing. the noise goes away in a minute or so. and it only happens in the first minute of starting my car. i am concered since i never had this noise before, but then again its an 01.
any ideas?

Dressing isn't a permanent fix, but if it works you can buy some new belts. They get hard & slippery with age & cold...
Don't compensate for old/slippery belts by making them too tight. That's bad for alternator/PS/AC bearings.
If it's not that, then maybe it IS alternator bearings?
