reverse lights come on only when they want

my reverse lights come on only when they want. What is making them do that? i have a 92 Honda prelude si h23 5 speed manual

Probably a failing reverse light switch.

its on the transaxles has 2 wires,no plastic clip connector. Test it with a continuity tester ... dealer,napa,junkyard ,ect

On the tranny, go to honda or any auto parts store for that matter.
