I got a CRX with a D16Z6 engine (SOHC Vtec) the thing is that when I drive it to high speeds and let the gas go its starts shaking like its choking does anyone know whats wrong. It has a Vtec control in it thats what i think the problem is. I think its not tuned right. But maybe not anyone know anything it will help me. THANKS

 

I am guessing you are still obd0. What ecu are you using? And what are you using for a vtec onctroller? vafc???

 

I am using the D16Z6 ECU and I have The apexi vafc one.

 

what exactly starts shaking? maybe your tires are not balanced. if your motor is shaking it would shake at low loads as well.... motor shaking usually equals mounts.

I would bet on the rim not being balanced with the information you left us.

 

i dont think its the tires the motor dosent shake. The car shakes like when u let the clutch go and the its starts shaking or moving forward. then agian i am not an expert thanks for the help.

you don't need to be an expert to explain exactly what is happening.... your discription is really hard to pin point what could be happening....

it could be number of things. my suggestion is to bring it to a garage and have a mechanic take it for a test drive with you in it.

 

Thanks for the replys but as tuesday, january 18 2:15pm the CRX is Dead. Their is water or light looking oid were the spark plugs go. Plus the fact that its overheating like crazy. Thank you guys GoFastMotorSports member and manson for the help. guess i just going to put another D16 in there.THANKS
