I know he was working on it, dont know if its a done deal yet, becuase i havent seen Frank popping off the body yet. Im starting to think that car was a waste, but we will see.

You make it seem like he has given up on it or something, whats the deal

 

i forget the place that chris told me that might do the body down in texas if the deal was going to go through. For some reason AeroFab or something like that comes to mind

 

It is still at Norwood's shop right now, it is waiting on the TC body!

I just see him worrying about the wrong things. all that time on the body and the car still isnt running right to my knowledge and he is worrying about another body? Id be worrying about getting down the track to keep some sponsors. Maybe i look at it the wrong way, but i dont agree with alot of his racing ethic. Seems like he is more in it for the glam than the love. He's an aight guy though, dont get me wrong. I just dont agree with how he does things and where it doesnt get him

they ran the celica back in august on some test runs at maple grove and had broke that camshaft if some of you remember and since then tony has been workin on some improvements with the head i think i remember that correctly and other things that needed to be worked out

Toyota is no longer going to make the celica, that is the reason for the body change to Scion

i see it as how many times has he been in the seat in the last few yrs. with so much money goin into each of these cars hes built and hardly any drive time for any of them. seems like a big *** hoax and the joke is on everyone including the sponsors. i could think of a few ppl that could and would use the sponsors money wisely and put it to use instead of collecting dust in the trailer or at shows.

 

Sponsors care about the exposure the car gets! It has been all over TV and Magazines and even the internet. That is wht makes sponsors click. Also Chris is a great PR spokes person. He's got character, image and speaks well to ethusiasts and the media. His cars have gone fast, and will continue to do so. Remember the Norad project isn't run the mill parts and there is a lot of R&D and testing. Besides his street supra is pretty damn fast if you ask me!

 

The main engine problem was with the head and its design. The welds inside the head were cracking under pressure. That problem is solved now.

Which one the one with the blown motor or the one that hasnt seen track or street for the last 8 years? I think he blew the motor in the white one again, but I can say 1st hand it was making alot of power.

Like I said he is an aight guy, but he needs to focus more and make better business desicions. Either he wants to race, or be in the lime light and party all the time.

 

it's heat that cracks welded up heads not pressure. but it's beyond me why norwood wouldn't have the head heat treated after rewelding a head that extensively. it's common knowledge that a welded head will crack without heat treating, i can't fathom norwood didn't know that.

Its on the driveway in front of his garage. It has been striped down to a bare tin chassis and is full of rust since snow sits on it during the winter...
