Ok before I get everyone to come out and say
"OMFGHI2U2 why didn't you search?!??!12312123"
I did search. The problem that I have isn't answered anywhere in the archives. I've left a message with the company that I bought the rear lower tie bar from but I haven't heard back from them so I decided to seek outside help.
So here is the problem:
The rear lower tie bar that I bought comes with 4 washers and 2 1" spacers. The bolt provided is roughly 1.2" longer than the stock bolt which is why you put in the washers and spacer. Well the install on the drivers side went smoothly and without hassle but the problem came when I went to work on the passenger side. The problem is that I can't get the bolt to go into hole because they are so long they are blocked by the muffler.
So my question is this: Would installation of this bar require me to remove the muffler in order to get the bolt in or is there another way around this problem? Oh yeah one more thing: It's not as simple as not using the washers & spacers.
AND
If I have to remove the muffler is it a PITA or should it be pretty straightforward and easy?
Thanks!
