Default AEM CAI install NEEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Hi, i have a 2004 civic si and i am trying to install a cold air intake. When the pipe is mounted up to the throttle body, the other end of the pipe is in the wheel weld... basically hitting the wheel if it was there. I ordered a cai for a 2004 civic, and the directions say its for a 2002-2003 civic si. Can someone tell me wtf is going on here??? Also in the process of takin out the old air box, the plastic nub on the smaller vacuum hose broke off, does anyone know if this would be a problem trying to run the car without that vacuum hose? Thanks

Yeah, the broken vacuum hose will pose an issue if you don't get it closed off or reattached. Secondly, the filter element should chill in the area in front of the wheel well, with just a 90 degree bend of pipe moving through the area that the tire inhabits. Neither of them should be even close to contacting the tire.

You will have to move the windshield washer fluid reservoir, by the way.
