i read in a magazine (either hondatuning or superstreet) about an s2000 made by some company that makes body kits. the kit they make for the s2k is all carbon fiber, including doors trunk hood fenders hard top etc. they article said that with all of the modifications that they had done to the car, they were able to reduce the weight to 2100 lbs and some change.

it was black unpainted carbon fiber. anyone remember the article or more importantly the name of the company that makes the kit?

it's the c-west.. but asm also has a car with carbon fiber bumper and fenders..

 

C-West, ASM are the only two cars fully carbon. Both weigh around 965kg (2120lb) There are couple others close to full carbon. Such as Opera, J's racing, Craftengineering, To-Laps all have the 970-1000kg mark.

 

c-west is the company that makes the dry carbon doors...

 

oh and i believe they all use the mugen carbon fiber hardtop..

Carbon Creations also makes carbon doors, bumper, fender etc! i saw there carbon s2k at SEMA it looked sick!

 

hows the fitment with carbon creations?? aren't they a part of vis?

 

When you guys say the car is "all C/F", do you mean that the rear quarter panels and unibody are C/F also?

hahaha i dont' even think they have cf rear quarter pannels for our cars...

well the two that mentioned all carbon body haven't posted in a while...

 

yes, thats what i meant. an s2000 that had been completley made out of carbon fiber. all metal parts were completley removed and every single component was replaced with carbon fiber. the engine, the airbags, the headlights, the light bulbs, the a/c compressor, the transistors inside the radio, the ecu, the roll bar, and yes of course, the tires, were all made out of carbon fiber.
