Help with wiring......pre-wired for vtec?
HEy guys/gals, I am about to do the wiring for my h22 swap into my 1995 SI prelude. I heard somewhere that the 1994 and up preludes were pre-wired for vtec. Does this mean that I need to tap into existing wiring under my hood?
If I need to tap into wiring on the body harness, where exactly are the wires located, and what are their colors? It would be nice, not to have to deal with the pins on the ecu....
And just to make sure...I need 2 wires to be added, the vtec pressure switch and the vtec silenoid....correct?
ALso, can anyone verify the pinout for the obd1 prelude ecu (p13)? I need to know what pins go where.
Thanks in advance.

You can find the wires in your engine harness coming from the inside of the car. You will see wires coming in but nothing coming out to the engine. One of them should be green with a yellow stripe and thats the vtec solenoid and the other one is light blue and is the vtec pressure switch. Don't forget to ground the black wire on the switch.
A4 = Vtec solenoid------------------Large pin
D6 = Vtec Oil Pressure Switch-----Small pin
That is the ecu pin numbers

Hey thanks man!
So it sounds like the wires that I am looking for are going to be in the harness comming from the body of the car, on the passenger strut tower...correct?

Hey guys it all went great, My car was pre-wired.
The green vtec silenoid wire can be found on the passenger side shock tower, it is a wire by itself, and the other end of the plug is there, I just shoved a pin into it, very clean.
The blue wire for the positive side of the vtec pressure switch can be found in the harnesson the passenger side harness, right next to the battery, the color is light blue, and if the plug is facing you it is the bottom left pin. This made things incredibly easy, took me all of three minutes to wire up.
thanks guys
