Default Best sq amp to power up this bad boy.

I may have put the wrong topic. I had a Rockford Fosgate bd1000.1 amp with the IDMAX sub-woofer. The amp was stolen so I need another replacement. From what I've been hearing, Class D amps tend to have only spl and lack in the sp department.

I want to know a good SQ amp to power up my sub.

The specs and picture is below,

I am willing to spend around $300 on ebay. Anything in that price range.

The speaker is in a sealed box. I forgot the exact dimensions but it falls in the recomended range.

I promise you wont get the "best sq amp" for $300 on ebay. With that being said I am partial to JLs slash series amps. Best quality amps I have personally worked with. Great features, very solid, very consistent power output and no noticeable colorization of the sound.

Yeah, I don't think you can get anything for $300 to power a 1000 wrms sub.

It is a d4. I see lots of 1000+ RMS amps on ebay for that price but I guess that I will have to pay for SQ.

How about for a budget of $500. Tell me what you guys recommend and I will see how much I can get it for. Thanks in advance.

Blazin Civic would the SQ for this amp suck? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1

Disregard the topic, great or even good will do. My old Rockford Fosgate bd1000.1 SQ sucked IMO so you guys can kinda get my scale.

that amp is 400W @ 2 ohm mono - not 1400....

you can find a used arc audio 1500 for that

an xtant:

there's a lot of others, but you really don't NEED a 1kW amp for that sub - it's very efficient and will sound great from a 600W amp or so....

The only thing about memphis is that they charge you for the 1ohm stable and with a D4 voice coil 1 ohm is out of the picture.
