Default JDM ITR spotting: Tralee, Ireland

I just got back from a week long vacation to Ireland (absolutely GORGEOUS). Anyhow, our tour bus was leaving town in Tralee and much to my surprise I saw a CW JDM ITR sitting in someone's driveway. Is this anyone on H-T??

and on a side note...i also spotted a white R33 Skyline parked at a Nissan dealership in Waterford. doubt that belongs to anyone on here

Here is the website address in case anyone wants to take a look. Its only a new website so there is nt much on it at the mo.

There's a few guys on here from Ireland. There's an international ITR owners thread on this forum. The person may have posted there.

Hey whats going on? I am visiting Belfast right now from California and I have been looking like crazy to find some RSX-R's and ITR's. We visited Amsterdam and I saw a Civic Type R, not bad looking for the minivan!

I think the last thing I would be doing in Amsterdam would be looking for ITR's

True, but I am the car buff between my friends and I and honestly Amsterdam wasn't that great of a place for me. I dont use drugs and I wouldnt ever buy a hooker...now for my friends sake he would argue differently BTW, he said the hooker was terrible in bed.

Theres a guy called Donal on ITR-DC2 forum and i think he's from tralee area or somewhere near that...dunno if he's a member here though.

I would estimate that there are over 500 genuine JDM ITRs in Ireland at the moment, there are at least 20 in the autotrader every week...... AutoTrader.ie and god knows how many others that are for sale in car yards and not advertised nationally, they have become extremely popular in the last 3 years or so, with 40-50 arriving on every boat that lands from japan.

If your down near Derry then i'm only 20 miles away from there.... Hit me up on IM and if i'm about i'll take you on a mini tour of the place!

There arent as many DC5 ITRs about yet, you'll find them in Dublin and further down south, i only know of one in Northern Ireland (a blue one) that i have seen around derry a few times

wow, thats a lot. i saw maybe 5 integras the entire trip (dublin, ennis, tralee, galway, killarney, waterford, and a few other cities). there were quite a few euro-hatchbacks that were pretty riced out though

i did however see quite a few ek4's. any chance of getting the fenders off one of those from a junkyard or something?? i'd love to get some sidemarkers

oh and on a side note...if i lived in Ireland i would be driving the "ring of kerry" every single weekend. some of the most beautiful scenery i have ever seen. PLEASE tell me that you guys take that trip once in a while?

Even though i live at the opposite end of the country and some 400 miles away i have driven the ring of kerry a few times...I have been to the Kilarney rally 4 times (held every year) and drive the ring religously before i head home again...its possibly has some of the nicest scenery in this country

As for sidemarkers...all EK civics here have them no matter what spec they are...do you want a complete wing/fender or just the markers...i should be able to get markers no problem...a whole wing is another matter

well i was hoping for the entire wing/fenders (both sides) off the 96 spec EK4. i mean i'd actually prefer to get them brand new from honda if possible. it just seems a lot more practical than ordering them used from japan. know any good body shops that can give you a price quote?

Heh, how about anything you want? I think I heard that they give free heroin to addicts so they can keep the crime down.

THe only **** thing about Amsterdam is you've got to pay for everything...ketchup at BK, toilets at bars. Oh yea, never being able to get away from all the cigarette smoke!

i just got back from ireland too (spent 10 days at home with the family) and i saw a 97-98 champ white civic type r in cork city.

about four years ago the coolest honda i saw was a ek civic ferio (4door) with SiR style bumpers, lip and nice 15" wheels. even said dohc vtec on the side. owner said it came stock with a b18c gsr engine.

Thats Tuning factory's own car...mugen airbox, mugen header, carbing bar (i think) Spoon N1 cat back exhaust and i think a Mugen N1 ECU, it made 232bhp on the rollers (or something very near that at a Jspeed rolling road day in november)

Mugen racer quick question. The fella that took them pictures of the tuning factory cars is just wondering why it says sponsered by pro street on the bottom left hand side of the picture.

I took the pictures myself last summer. It was the opening day for the Tuning Factory. They are a company in Dublin Ireland that specialize in Honda and are distributors for J’SRacing. I have to say it was a fantastic day lots of JDM Type R’s on show, we closed off the area and if your name is not down you not coming in.

I think prostreetonline should pay me or something for advertising them self’s on my pictures I’m sure the Tuning Factory like to see the other sponsors on their cars
