Default wtf... why is my valve cover "sweating"

I threw this on yesterday because I had to make some cam gear adjustments and adjust timing. On spots around the valve cover (especially the letters), it looks like it's getting oily/wet/sweaty whatever. I don't understand why this is happening. I tried wiping it up with a rag to see if anything rubbed off, but nothing did unless I applied hella pressure. The paint I used was rattle-can camo paint used for painting cars. Perhaps it has to do with the paint standing up to the heat? ....

Don't mind the blue vacuum hose, I'll get a better one when I get the chance.

I'm going to re-paint it some other color since it's doing this. What type of paint are you guys using to paint your VC's?

Shouldn't be the paint, you can use regular spray paint on a valve cover, and it will last. That's weird. Did you get a closer look or smell it to see what it was?

How long ago did you spray that on there? Is there a possibility that the paint may be a little moist for some reason?

might be oil spots from before u painted the cover.. did u clean everything up properly before u started applying the new paint? if not it might be the old residue creeping up the paint when ur motor gets hot.....
