Default Shift linkage - Civic vs. Integra *Questions*

Okay . . so far from what i know. . .the base (where the shifter is screwed into the shift linkage) of the integra linkage is wider than a civic, i know this because i bought a GSR shifter... tried to put it in my Si, only to find out that it was too wide.

so my next question is, is the linkage any longer than the civic linkage? i've seen people where the shifter sits farther back in side the little shifter area then others... when i got a dual bend skunk2 shifter, it didn't sit far back..

i notice this with my friend, he had swaped a JDM GSR into his civic and the shifter sat farther back vs. his USDM B16a2 swap he had.

¿¿??

here are some pics to show what i'm talking about

STOCK

this is what i'm talkin about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

i know this one is an integra, same concept though

these are the only pics i found at the moment

All b series shift linkages are the same... i'm running a 99 si linkage with my setup.. and i have had both, a skunk2 short shifter and am now running a stock gsr shifter.. all b series are the same width.

no they are not... i beg to differ because i bought an integra shifter off a local HT member, tried to put it on, but it was WIDER than my stock Si shifter, so i wasn't able to use it

i doubt it. i think the civic and the integra linkages are the same length. my shifter is still in the same position as when i had my civic linkage. but thats my guess.

dam i'd like to know the same thing.
maybe if i get my shifter to look like that, the play that i have in my current shifter will disappear. i swear i've tried everything already to try and fix it but no luck.

Yeah actually I do. When i had my Ek and i swapped a gsr motor in it the shifter ended up looking just like that. and it also feels way better

yeah i'm like 99 percent sure. I'm sure you can't use it on your car though cuz of the length unless u got a teg motor

eh, i think i'll get a teg shifter and find out... it would save me time from dremeling off the width of the GSR shifter i have to fit b16 linkage

99-00 si shiftlinkages are differnt from GSRs, the bottom of the si is narrower than the gsrs, also, gsrs have a dual bent design so shifting is a lil bit shorter vs the si

Judging by those pictures it is a integra dual bend shifter that they are using! What year car are you putting it in?

aight, i got a 2000 civic si . . .and i want it to look like that civic i keep posting.. (this one) (see above pics to see how a stock Si shift linkage with dual bend looks, i don't believe the shifter in this pic is in 4th gear like other people are saying)

i got a dual bend GSR shifter. .. eg cookiemonster

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by eg cookiemonster &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">99-00 si shiftlinkages are differnt from GSRs, the bottom of the si is narrower than the gsrs, also, gsrs have a dual bent design so shifting is a lil bit shorter vs the si </TD></TR></TABLE>

so i haven't used my GSR shifter yet... was gonna dremel/shave it to fit, but if i get a integra shift linkage, i thikn it maybe get that look i want, i'm gonna do it and post it up

BUT if it is in gear like people are sayin, i'll have proof for all the HT'ers to know

I got bought a B&m dual bend shifter cause i wanted it to be like the one in the pic of the GSR. I installed it and it bends forward to much. It looks like an E brake in first gear. I kinda like it. Shifting from first to second is cake cause all u got to do is pull up on it. Its weird, ill try and get some pics
