check engine light
i am putting the b16a in my 89 crx, and i have heard from some people that the light will be on all the time whe i do the swap. Is it true, i don't think it is , but is it.

A b17 is a destroked ls with a vtec head if I'm not mistaken, someone correct me if I am. Anyhoo, if you wire the second o2, vetc, and oil pressure switch up correctly you will have no issues with either swap. Search around and figure out all the parts you need before you do the swap. The search function here is your best friend. Good luck.
The engine light will be on if the engine is not installed or running correctly. Or if the engine is damaged for some reason. For example, if the MAP sensor is malfunctioning, ithe ECU will throw 3 blinks (at least in a B18A).
