Default ?'s about lengthening rsr exhaust to fit 92 teg

I just got my hands on an rs*r exmag for DAs but apparently it needs to be lengthened about 2" to fit on a 92-93 , my question is how should I do that? Should I just cut it near the cat end of the b pipe (!) and weld in some extra piping? Or should i have a little adapter made w/ a small length of pipe and 2 flanges to put between the exhaust and the cat or between the cat and the header? I'd rather not hack up the exhaust but maybe it would be best...

Go and get some quotes from some muffler shops. Shouldn't be an expensive thing to do.

I'm not really worried about it costing a lot, i'm just wondering about how to have the muffler shop extend it.

I have a brilliant idea for you

You need this:

It's from my RS*R, but I have a 91 so I didn't use it. I even have another gasket for it. I'll sell it to you if you want it.

If that deal falls through. Just go to a muffler shop. They should be able to reproduce that part for around $15-25 depending on the place.
