It would probably connect, but it sort of defeats the purpose of the header and cat to be running it into smaller tubing and a restrictive exhaust.
If you're going to that much trouble, might as well get a 2.5" system all the way back, unless you just can't afford it now.

i am planning on getting the apexi n1 system, just waiting for some $$$.
i have a 99 si .... isn't the piping on that a litter bigger than your normal piping say from an ex?
