Default How can i get my cat to fit my exhaust?

What's up HT,

I recently just purchased a header for my car. Basically changing my exhaust system. The setup will be:

Toda Style Racing Header 2.5"
Magnaflow High Flow Cat 2.5"
Stock Exhaust 2.25" (I believe)

Not my question is how will i get my 2.5" HFC to connect to my stock exhaust. I don't have to money right now to buy a new catback so this will do for now.

I don't want to weld them together but is it possible to use something called a reducer? I'm not too experienced so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Take it to a muffler shop and have them weld some flanges so it bolts up.

...What car do you have that you think you have a 2 1/4" exhaust piping? Stock on most civics is like, an inch and a half.

Thanks homie. You live 10 mins away from where you're at. You have any places you recommend?

I tried to search on the web what the size of my stock piping was. I wasn't entirely sure.

But i have an EM1. Sorry forgot to mention that.

Hmm, I thought the EX/SI shared a 1.75" exhaust, but evidently I was wrong. You're right, 2.25" exhaust piping for all B series motors.

With only a quarter inch difference, the crush gasket between the flanges should make up for that, and you should be just fine. I have a 3" downpipe running to 2.5" piping without a problem. If the crush gasket makes up for 1/2" on my car, it should easily make up for 1/4" on yours

Alright thanks man. I'll see what's up.

Just wanna make sure my HFC will be able to fit onto my piping.

take it to Guaranteed mufflers in Fremont.
36656 Fremont Boulevard

Get it done right so its bolt up, and removeable... not all welded up, and has to be cut when you decide to go another route.
