Car got stolen how much will insurance give me?
Ok so my car got stolen....
! It was a 97 Integra LS. Very clean condition. It had really high miles (260,000). Well im going to kbb.com to see how much (ruffly) i will recieve from the insurance company. Would I go by trade in, private party, or retail??? I know it will not be exact but which do you think is the closer to what they will go by??? I'm going by kbb because it asks for mileage, and factors it in. So what do you guys think. They havnt found the car yet either!!! Looks like when and if they do its gonna be stripped
. Sucks cause i have only had the car for a few weeks. Please respond. Im friggin goin crazy. Some people around here are saying im gonna get 2grand because of the mileage!!!!

a lot of insurance copmanies these days arent goin by kbb any more. go to http://www.NADA.com your location will also be a factor in how much you get.
Ok so the low is 3800 and the high is 6200 thats w/ mileage and location taken into concideration. where in that window do you think it should be?

I think that is wierd because nada are way higher than KBB. It says my 00 gsr is worth 14,400 but we all know that aint gonna happen. Even the average trade in is high.

It might depend on your insurance company actually. With my friend's car.....the gauge cluster was stolen, so they didn't know how many miles were on the car. They used the average number of miles for an average car of that age and used that in the price decision.
I guess.....hope your gauge cluster was stolen.
If I still had my 97 Integra, my mileage would be very similar, if not higher. I drive about 40k miles a year. Heh.

I can tell you that if you have State Farm, you're going to get NADA retail value. They'll take into consideration miles and condition. Also, if you have made any upgrades to the vehicle, they might take that into consideration. Depends on what they were.
So, basically if you go to NADA and type in your car with the mileage and any factory options that you had, you'll have pretty good idea in your settlement offer.
KBB isn't used by insurance companies, because if you read the fine print, it lists dealer charges such as listing the vehicle, detailing the car, and a few other listed charges that aren't applicable to your vehicle.
Other maintenance related items won't be considered either.
I have a pretty good idea on this, as this is what I do for a living. I work at State Farm in the Total Loss Unit.

I'd also lean more towards $6000. I got $15,900 for my 93 Nissan Maxima that I bought salvaged for $7000 from Geico 6 years ago and Geico is a really shitty insurance company.
i have state farm and when they declared my stolen teg a 'total loss' they used http://www.NADA.com to estimate my cars worth. i bought my teg for $7000 and state farm paid me about $8000.

Honestly. it all depends. As we all know, when we modify our cars the market size decreases. And it doesn't always add value to the vehicle.
So, ask yourself this one. Did you old intake not work and that's the reason that you needed to replace it with a Mugen one?
The mods that I've had done to my car, I could only hope to get something for my head that I bought for it. Really anything major such as engine or tranny that you've fixed up or replaced would be considered.

I only had the car for a few weeks! Luckily the only stuff i put on the car was Rims. Rota C8's. You think i should even tell them about the rims????? The factory alloys prolly cost more. But i had parada's on there. Hmmmmm I dunno.
I have metlife by the way.......

actually what kinda sucks is that it had a GSR engine in it! It came like that when i bought it though. Kid i know did the swap. I bought the car off of him............ and no dont worry I know he didint take the car w/ spare key!
You should tell them about the rims because they should pay you that on top of what the car is worth. At least my insurance company did
would you mind going into the details about it getting stolen, for example location, time of day, what anti-theft devices you were using, etc. maybe we can learn a little more about your situation to help protect our integras in the future
Movies, upper class town. Movie is in a mall. Late show. No anti theft device besides ignition kill switch. Came out after movie it was gone.
Its dark green. Stock as a rock except for header and rims. Dc HEader and rota c8's... black. 781..........Lynn?
